I help people who long to live with ease, but feel suffocated…
…worried they’ll never get “saved” from living with lingering dread. From my own path, I understand how constant feelings of deprivation and never-ending hard work can limit access to a more interesting and fulfilling life. I specialize in moving clients from feeling frozen toward getting in touch with their own wants and needs. I want to help you shift from “Why can’t I get comfortable in relationships and trust in the future?” to “Ohhhh, wow. Damn. Yep, this is how I am getting in my own way.”
In my office, my clients depend on me to keep it real with them and use my truth in service to their healing. We stay focused on your current goals because therapy should be relevant to what you want to change right now. We laugh where we can, finding humor as medicine, even in dark moments. We’ll find out that small opportunities for growth in life turn out to be fucking brave turning points.
I believe this work can cultivate ease in life, to recapture what was lost, or perhaps find what was never given to you to begin with. To know if I am the professional to guide you, call or email me for a consultation.
I am the daughter of an immigrant, and I identify as biracial. I have connection working with clients of blended and unique backgrounds, such as multi-ethnic/biracial, people of color, third culture, and second generation immigrants. I enjoy working with inter-cultural couples as well. If you’d like a window into my personal experience, my perspective is shared in this Psychology Today blog post. I welcome clients’ ethnic, cultural, and immigration point of reference into their therapy.
I obtained my MA in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Expressive Arts from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2012. In addition to couples and individuals in private practice, my clinical experience has been with elders in a residential setting, low income children in schools, and teens and their families in the juvenile justice/probation system.
When I am not plumbing the depths of human experience, my fun times are petting ALL the animals that will let me, listening to hip-hop, and eating dark chocolate. I dance with a little too much abandon. I try to remember to stretch.
